Improvements we are proud to have delivered so far:

 

  • Sponsor of the Carbon Disclosure Programme, encouraging organisations to set, communicate and achieve carbon reduction targets
  • 5% drop in carbon emissions from UK buildings equating to over 50 tonnes in carbon dioxide
  • 10% decrease in total carbon emissions in the UK, including travel
  • 18% reduction in paper use in the UK compared to last year

BCE Environmental Leadership Awards

The Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards scheme was established in 1975 in the UK.  Since then, it has been showcasing UK environmental excellence and recognising businesses whose activities enhance or protect the environment while meeting commercial demands. They are the UK's (and probably the world's) longest running environmental awards.  BCE is unique in that it is run by business rather than any regulator, authority or government agency - it rewards the efforts of business to address environmental issues without regulatory intervention.  

Ricardo-AEA sees the importance of recognising and promoting environmental leadership, having also been working for over a quarter of a century to improve and protect the environment, and have been involved in the BCE Awards since 2005.  Ricardo-AEA is currently the sponsor of the Management for Resource Efficiency Premier Award and administers of the awards on behalf of the Charity.
