Climbing for Water

Summer 2012 and the team from Ricardo-AEA's Scottish office will be supporting the WaterAid200 Mountain Challenge - putting 2,000 people at the top of 200 UK mountains in one day.

WaterAid works in 27 countries around the world and in 2011-12 reached 1.5 million people with access to clean water and 1.6 million with access to sanitation.  By taking part in WaterAid200, the AEA team will be raising money that will go towards providing water and sanitation to communities in Nepal, helping some of the world's poorest people to climb out of poverty.

200 four to seven people teams are taking part in the event, climbing peaks spread across the UK and Ireland, from the Lake District to Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands. AEA's team will be tackling the 8.8km climb to the 2392 ft high summit of Ben Venue in Scotland's Central Highlands.

WaterAid200 Mountain Challenge takes place on 16 June 2012. If you would like to sponsor the Ricardo-AEA team, please visit their WaterAid200 team page.
